The Coming of Another Major Social Division of Labor--Logistics Economy in the New Economy

As a new economic pattern, logistics economy has been increasingly attracting attention from entrepreneurs and economists' circles. It also has become a focus of economic study. Starting with the definitions of logistics and logistics economy, this paper expounds how traditional logistics economy differs from its modern counterpart, and besides, it points out that modern logistics economy grows out of its traditional counterpart by means of effective and systematical utilization of modern sciences and technologies. The paper draws a conclusion that the emergence of modern logistics economy indicates the coming of another major social division of labor, which contains far-reachingsignificance
