World Oil Market Structure:Evolution,Causes and Impacts

This paper reviews the evolution of the world oil market structure and analyses the resource policy adjustments by those oil producing countries. The resource policies change the position of oil companies as buyers and market structure in the resources stage,and affect the cost structure of oil companies at the mining stage and the seller structure of crude oil market. Since the price changes in crude oil price can not be fully transferred into the refined oil price,and finally pass on to consumers,the resource policies redistribute the value capture between the resource stage and processing stages in the whole value chain.
