Abstract: | Abstract: The authors examine the increasing recognition by the courts that an insurance policy is a consumer product, not merely a contract. This evolution has been the result of an increasing focus on the reasonable expectations doctrine. A review of the legal environment involving reasonable expectations and insurance coverage is presented. |
