Sequential Therapy of Ginkgo Biloba Extract Preparation to Improve Memory,Cognition and Blood Flow Status in Elderly Patients with Cerebrovascular Dementia

Objective To investigate the effect of sequential therapy of ginkgo biloba extract preparation on memory,cognition and blood flow status in elderly patients with cerebrovascular dementia.Methods A total of 86 elderly patients with cerebrovascular dementia admitted in Central Hospital Affiliated to Shenyang Medical College from September 2017 to December 2018 were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group(40 cases)and a research group(46 cases),according to different treatment.Both groups were given routine treatment,including improving microcirculation,anti-platelet aggregation,etc.The control group(n=40)was given Shuxuening Injection on the basis of conventional treatment for 21 days.After 7 d-10 d,the ginkgo leaves were used,and the cumulative treatment was 21 d.The memory,cognition and blood flow status of the 2 groups were compared.Results After treatment,the word pairing,visual reproduction,logical memory,spatial overlay,graphic resetting and total score in the Chinese version(adult version)of the Wechsler Memory Scale 4 th edition(WMS-Ⅳ)were significant higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,the simple cognitive state assessment scale(MMSE)of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,left anterior cerebral artery(L-ACA)of the observation group,right anterior cerebral artery(R-ACA),left middle cerebral artery(L-MCA),right middle cerebral artery(R-MCA)and basilar artery(BA)blood flow speed were significantly faster than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The sequential therapy of ginkgo biloba extract preparation for the treatment of elderly cerebrovascular dementia has a good clinical effect,and it has a significant effect on the memory,cognition and blood flow state of elderly patients.
