Abstract: | This paper explains how Social Return on Investment (SROI) can improve public project management in local government. The authors provide a step-by-step account of SROI implementation in an Indonesian city. The case study is a community-based sewerage treatment facility. By using participatory SROI, project management was substantially improved through better project prioritization, performance measurement and project accountability. |
