| 摘 要： | 无论是在其人生道路上抑或在其作品中,对上帝不辍的寻找是威廉斯一贯的主题。在探寻上帝的路上,威廉斯经历了对上帝的热切期盼到深切失望的痛苦历程。威廉斯历尽艰辛所发现的上帝要么沉默冷漠,要么暴虐乖张。对上帝的失望是威廉斯同性恋和暴力情结形成的主要原因。在对上帝的认识过程中,沉默的上帝形象的发现导致其同性恋情结的形成,而暴虐的上帝形象的发现则导致其暴力情结的形成。

| Abstract: | God - seeking is the theme of Williams＇ life and writings. Tennessee Williams experiences the expec- ting God＇s salvation to the finding the silent or wrathful God＇s images. Belief crisis is the underlying cause of homosexu- ality and violence tendency in Williams＇s dramas. In the God - seeking, on one hand, the discovering of the silent God image results in the forming of his consciousness as regarding homosexuality as the illusion of God, on the other hand, the discovering of the wrathful God image results in the forming of his violence complex. |
