| 摘 要： | 国外对银行业对外直接投资的动因研究文献已非常丰富,但是国内外还没有对中国银行业对外投资动因的实证研究。本文运用回归分析方法对中国银行业的对外投资动因进行了分析,发现东道国人均GDP、中国对东道国直接投资等因素对中国银行业的对外投资有不同程度的影响。结果表明传统的“跟随客户”理论不能很好地解释中国银行业对外投资的原因。

| Abstract: | In recent years, foreign direct investment by banks grows rapidly around the world. Many researches have been conducted on the reasons of bank industry's foreign direct investment, but the case of China has not been studied. This paper uses the regression analysis method to analyze the reasons why China's banks invest abroad. The result shows that non-bank foreign direct investment and host country's GDP per capita influence Chinese banks' decisions of investment abroad. It shows that the traditional"follow customer"theory does not fit the case of China. |
