萧宇成“非诚勿扰”的投资哲学

几经考验的私募股权投资行业,正是精英辈出之时。在短短不到五个月的时间内,募集到近25亿美元的基金,有些出乎霸菱亚洲投资基金董事总经理萧宇成的意料。之所以能够门庭若市地接受如此众多的全球LP的青睐,霸菱亚洲投资董事总经理萧宇成认为,其最主要的"秘笈"就是真诚,真诚待人,真诚做事。

Yucheng XIAO Do Not Bother If Not Sincere

Raising $2.5 billion in only five month,which is unexpected for managing director of Baring Private Equity Asia(Baring),Yucheng XIAO,but it seems unsurprising. As one of the Asian private equity funds with the longest history,the reason Baring would attract so many international famous LPs,XIAO thought the secret is sincere,treating people sincerely,and working sincerely. In February 2011,Baring announced that Baring Private Equity Asia Fund V has completed with $2.46 billion raising capital.This is the largest raising size in the Asian private equity area since the break of global financial crisis. After Yucheng XIAO got his MBA,he joined Citibank Hong Kong as management trainee.Although his salary at that time only was a half of the salary he got when he worked in Silicon Valley as an engineer,he obtained a lot.XIAO learned a lot of financial services from financial derivatives to enterprise financing. Furthermore,he asked to be the first one who joined the just established direct investment department, which is in charge of private equity investment.It settled his career in the future.In year 1998,XIAO and Jean Eric Salata who was his colleague in AIG where he has a stable work, decided to found a new investment fund,which was Baring Asia.
