交际教学法与传统教学法在英语教学中的整合

摘    要:随着英语教学在过去几十年的发展和日渐成熟,英语教学法也经历了一系列演变,如语法翻译法、听说法和认知法等传统教学法。与此同时,应用语言学家和外语教师们依然在努力寻找一种能更加有效提高学生交际能力的教学法。在此背景下,交际教学法诞生了,并自19世纪80年代起很受欢迎。但基于中国的教学现状,交际教学法尚未被证明是最有效的教学法。为此作者提出了在教学过程中传统教学法与交际法相结合的重要性和必要性,两者有效结合才能提高教学效果。

Abstract:With the development and maturity of English teaching over the past few decades, the pedagogy has undergone a number of approaches, such as Grammar-Translation Method, Audio-Lingual Method, and Cognitive Approach which are regarded as the Traditional Method. Applied linguists and foreign language teachers are still striving for finding a more effective teaching approach,which can enhance students' communicative competence. Against that background, the Communicative Approach came into being and has enjoyed a great popularity since the 1980s. However, considering the teaching situation in China, Communicative Approach hasn't been proved to be the most workable and effective teaching method yet. So the author proposes that it is necessary and feasible to integrate the Traditional Method with the Communicative approach in FLT in China, which can improve the teaching effect greatly.
