中国近代地质教育述论

从清末到民国初期，我国的地质教育走过了一条曲折、艰难而又充满希望的路程。近代化企业对科技人才的需求，新式学堂的建立和留学运动的开展，造就了中国第一代地质学家。他们在开发资源、造福民众的爱国思想激励下，全身心地投入到培养地质科学人才的工作中，有力地推动了中国近代地质教育事业的发展。

On Modern Education of Geology in China

From late Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China. the education ofgeology of our country had covered a tortuous, hard but hopeful way. Due to the need of techinical and scientific talents in modern enterprises, the establizhment of new-type schools and thedevelopment of the studying abroad movement, the first generation of geologists of China wasbrought up. Encouraged by the patriotic thought of exploitation of natural resources and bringingbenefit to tile people, they devoted themselves wholeheartedly to the great course of training scientific talents of geology. This powerfully propels forward the modern educational course of geology of China.
