| Abstract: | This thess is a study of the translation of English idbo (including proverbs) into Chinese. It also discusses the translatability of the Engish language into 0ur language which is put forward prior to the inteductbo of methods of such translation, which makes up a major part of this thesis. Finally, some suggestions for better understanding and translation of English idioms and proverbs are given. |
