| Abstract: | Abstract Alternative techniques for measuring the benefits of urban parks are examined. We conclude that the practical problems in valuing urban parks may preclude the use of any single method of measurement. The results also suggest that the property‐value approach may underestimate park benefits substantially, yet values obtained from alternative approaches cannot be arbitrarily combined without double counting of benefits. |
