The Importance and Motivations of Information Sharing in Supply Chain Management

Information Sharing is the basic of Supply Chain Management and the key factor of coordination which is the key factor that influences the performance of supply chain. But all the firms especially the core ones in the supply chain often face difficulties that there aren't enough motivations to share information. This paper analyses the relationship between Information Sharing and the success of supply chain's coordination and performance. It also analyses the motivational methods to promote Information Sharing.
