The Latest Development of Studies of Banking Competition Degree

According to different main lines of studies, the paper systematically lists the relevant literature about banking competition degree since 2000. The literature shows that foreign studies are focused on the relationship between the banking competition and the economic and financial development and stability, the calculation method of banking competition degree, the banking competition degree differences in country and size, the factors of banking competition degree. Domestic studies are focused on the identification of Chinese banking competition degree, the banking competition degree differences in district and size, the relationship between the banking competition degree and Chinese economic transformation and institutional business activities. At present, the main method to calculate banking competition degree is unstructured method and the studies centering on developed countries are deveolped under the condition of interest rate liberalization.
