The Infiltration and Influence of IT Technology to Service Industry Rethinking of ''''Baumol Model''''

For many years, there have been considerable debates about the so - called Baumol Model, which stimulated economists and researchers to conduct more rigorous scientific analyses. This paper consists of four parts. The first critically reviews and concludes the research. The second then analyses the evolving utilization of the new IT in the service sector. The third lays out the principal empirical studies of the relationship between IT and productivity. The final part of the paper draws the conclusion.
