老青岛人怎能忘记邪充满繁华气质的老街里，那一个个红火兴旺的老字号。青岛，这座年轻的城市，在这120年的进程中，对于老街的记忆是充分的。那些曾经繁华的老街印象如穿针的线，串联起那些千头万绪的回忆。看到老照片，又令我们陷入记忆中的那些街道、那条路，那些似城市体内无数根血管的路，城市之魂仍旧在其中汨汨流淌。而今，我们委说的就是其中之一——北京路。

Beijing Road in Qingdao

Beijing Road is an old commercial street in Qingdao. Qianxiangyi, a 100-year-old shop wasestablished here.The three-storey building used to be the largest retailing store run by the Chinese in Qingdao. Qianxiangyi was one of the shops owned by the Mengs from Zhangqiu. The Meng family used to be one of the largest commercial groups in northern China. The TV series Chinese Merchants tells the story of the Meng family. The shops of the Mengs competed fiercely. Beijing-based Qianxiangyi and Ruifuxiang fought with means both open and secret to strive for the domain of Dazhalan. Qianxiangyi inQingdao was opened in 1911. In the second year, many former officials of the Qing Dynasty came to Qingdao. They were the main customers of Qianxiangyi in Beijing. So in Qingdao they liked to buy commodities in Qianxiangyi,too. InQingdao, Qianxiangyi was famousforhonest operation and equal treatment for all customers, no matter they were children or old people. Due to the successful operation, for many years, it was a famous shop in Qingdao.
