By following the microeconomic theory, this article puts forth some models for defining the colliery's running the power plants as the vertical-economy natured, and probes deep into the existing conditions and affecting factors concerning the vertical economy for the colliery's running the power plants, and the conclusion drawn from the above analysis serves to provide the theoretical proof for formulating relevant policies regarding the establishment of power plants near the coalmine and rationally choosing the entrepreneurial organizational form for the enterprise carrying both coal and electrical business. Some suggestions are also raised in the latter half of the article concerning the colliery's running the power plants.
