自由空间和新的主体

冲绳虽然在地理上处于东亚中心，但与日本的关系依旧暧昧，其独特的意义在东亚中还未被定位。“知识的亚洲和现实的亚洲·冲绳会议”呈现出试图理解冲绳和他者的姿态，营造了尊重思想的自由空间。与会者的发言中有意识地贯穿着关于“现场”和“现场性”的主题，支撑他们讨论的是朝鲜半岛被日本殖民统治的经验，“不在场”的朝鲜成为编织语言的原动力。冲绳人、中国人和日本人，当天在朝鲜殖民地经验的基础上实现了共同思考。

Free Space and New Subjects

Although Okinawa is located at the centre of East Asia, its relationship with Japan is still ambiguous, and its unique significance in East Asia undecided. ＂The Intellectual Asia and the Realistic Asia-the Okinawa Conference＂, which demonstrates an attempt to understand Okinawa and its relationship with the others, has created a space for free thoughts. The speeches of the participants in the conference are interspersed with the topic of ＂being on the spot＂, and their discussions are supported by the experiences from the Japanese colonization of the Korean peninsular. Korea, the subject that is ＂not on the spot＂, has become the motive force for discourse. On that day, the Okinawa natives, the Chinese and the Japanese arrived at common thinking on the basis of the experiences from Korea as a colony.
