功能文体学在大学英语记叙文写作中的应用

摘    要:传统的大学英语教学过多关注于生词的解析和重点语言点及句型的罗列,忽视了从语篇、文章的内在含义把握课文,不利于学生综合能力的提高。应用功能文体学的理论,可使学生更集中于文本。提高他们理解文体的能力,通过语言分析的实践,学生能够达到既可以欣赏文章内容又可以巩固和掌握语言的基础知识,提高学生的英语写作能力的双重目的。

Abstract:Traditional teaching of English pays too much attention to the usages of new words, important language points and the variety of sentence structures and ignores the grasp of the text and the inner meaning. This is a barrier to the improvement of the students' comprehensive ability. The theory of functional stylistics enables the students to concentrate more on the text itself and improve the understanding of style. With the practice of language analysis, students can not only appreciate the text but strenghten the common core of English as well as improving their writing facility. This essay employ Lesson One Mr.Doherty Builds His Dream Life from New College English Book III as an example, analyze some paragraphs from the perspective of functional stylistics. Thus students can improve their ability in the compositon of narration by means of the finding in the essay which shows the characteristics and stylistic features of narration.
