摘    要:大学生在上大学前后英语学习动机的变化对学习态度、学习结果无疑会产生较大的影响。教师了解学生的学习动机后才能有针对性地采取一些教学策略以激发学生的学习动机。问卷调查与访谈的结果表明,大学生学习英语更多是为了找工作,即工具型动机强于融入型动机。因此,教师应该增强英语学习的价值观,强调效能动机并采用灵活多样的教学手段培养学生的融入型动机,提高学习效果。

Abstract:English studying motivation of non - English majors always changes after they study in the university, which will have great influence on their attitude to study and their performance. The result of the questionnaire and interviews indicates that the English studying motivation of non - English majors is more of an instrumental one than integrative. Hence some teaching strategies should be taken to keep and inspire the students' English studying motivation, such as enhancing the value of English studying, emphasizing the efficacy and applying various teaching methods.
