| 摘 要： | 死亡委婉语是人类语言中普遍存在的一种现象。英汉都有很多死亡委婉语，它们不仅是语言现象，更具有深厚的文化内涵。物质文化、制度文化和心理文化对英汉死亡委婉语进行对比、分析，揭示它们的共性和个性，以促进英汉文化的交流。

| Abstract: | The euphemistic expression of death is a common phenomenon in human language.In both English and Chinese exist many euphemistic expressions of death which are ont only language phenomena but also have profound cultural connotations.The author makes a contrastive study on English and Chinese euphemistic expressions of death from three cultural aspects: material culture,institutional culture and mental culture,and reveals their similarities and differences to promoting the communication of English and Chinese cultures. |
