Industrial clusters are the main sources of east economic growth and competitive advantage ,but the polarization effect of east industrial clusters makes southeast coastal areas form future advantage which is unfavorable to industrial transfer from the east to the west part of China and the difference between the east and the west will be further expanded. Thus, the west should cultivate competitive ability of local areas and take action to minimize unfavorable influence of the polarization effect.
