On Pattern Change of Youth Popular Culture and Ideological and Political Education

Popular culture in the group of univ ersit y students spread rapidly and becomes very populary.Thus, the negative effects which result from the ideological andpolitical education can not be ignored, such as downplaying the political ideals and moral values, highly esteeming the supremacy of the marketing material of consumerism and hedonism, and arousing non-rationalism. At the same time, popular culture deeply attracts college students with its tolerance and equal participation, and other characteristics. In the multi-cultural background, ideological and political education should absorb the rational elements of popular culture to promote its objectives, content and channel changes, establish the equal mechanism of ideological and political education, actively promote the ideological and political education principles and update and perfect patterns.
