山岳崇拜观念是推动仙都发展成为名山的文化基 因。仙都的发展变迁过程实质上是人们从畏惧到信奉再到利用 山岳的变化过程,也是人们对仙都美好生活环境发掘、建设的 过程。随着仙都山岳崇拜观念的产生、物化和延伸,仙都发生 了“神山—缙云坛、黄帝祠宇—仙都祈仙洞天”的变化,经历 了萌芽、发展和成熟3个时期,极大地促进了仙都山岳资源的 开发与利用,也推动仙都成为中国名山大川体系中的道教名 山,为现代风景名胜区建设奠定了坚实基础。
