Income Distribution and Household Characteristics∗

The paper identifies the characteristics of Indonesian households ranked according to monthly household income. Characteristics examined include sector in which the household head derives most of his or her income, the age, sex, occupational and educational status of the household head and, in the case of agricultural households, land owned and occupied.
