Costume is an important carrier of national culture.Nowadays,in contrast to the fast development of industry,manual labor tends to be ignored and consequently,the culture of traditional national costume has been put into dilemma.This article begins with the stress on manual labor,followed by an analysis of the important role manual labor plays in human life.Then,it combines with the promotion of national culture,and at last ends with the proposal of protecting,inheriting and promoting the culture of national consume on the premise of emphasizing manual labor.The respect for manual labor is not a regression into the era of handicraft,but a pursue of proper ways and methods to promote the culture of national costume and a transformation from material production to mental production and from the creation of practical value to aesthetic value.
