| Abstract: | The meanings of quieting tone and the difficulty of quieting in amplitude modulation(AM) audio communication are introduced.The intermediate frequency(IF) digital demodulation theory and quieting tone principle are discussed. An effective method of distinguishing AM modulation degree is adopted. How to make use of the method to solve the quieting problem in application is illustrated with an example. |
