图书馆是文化教育事业的重要组成部分。图书馆作为“没有围墙的大学”应该在管理模式、设备完善、人才提高、教学保障等方面加强建设，使学生走进图书馆、利用图书馆，使图书馆真正成为提高科学文化素质的教育基地，充分发挥图书馆在“知识工程”中的主阵地作用。
