Low-rent-housing support ways of the U.S.and its references to China

This article points out that the support ways of American low-rent-housing includes mainly using government direct expenditure to develop public housing,providing financial aid for the development of privately-owned low-rent-housing,requiring or encouraging developers to provide low-price(rent) housing for moderate-and low-income families,and raising demand ability of lessees via government direct expenditure and tax credit.Then it analyzes the advantages and flaws of the ways.It brings forward that the low-rent-housing support mechanism should be established,in which central government plays a leading role,that enlarging the supply of low-rent-housing should depend mainly on absorbing private investment by preferential policies,that monetary subsidy support mechanism of low-rent-housing should be progressively improved,and that the developers should be required or encouraged to construct some low-rent-housing in the projects of economically affordable housing and common commercial housing.
