假设连词“傥（倘）”语用特点探析

＂tang （傥）＂ is assumption conjunetions in the ancient Chinese , which means the assume event has less possiblity to happen in actual.They are used only in two situations：the first is that the assumed content belongs to accident＇s misfortune, or subjectively, it is to be regarded as one kind of accident which is talked to be less possibility,and so the expression becomes more tactful. the second is that they are used as the modest words.ln this situation, the content is assumed to be lucky and have less possibility to be realized.This makes the expression to be more humble. These all reflect the subjective evaluation of the speaker, and make expressions more politeness.
