Dynamics of Industrial Clusters in Zhejiang Province: a Perspective on Modes of Exchange

In contrast to supply factors,demand factors in industrial clusters theories have less been studied.To explore the market internal impetus to the development of industrial clusters in Zhejiang Province,the paper investigates the effects of individual selling agents on the market and draws conclusions as follows.There exists a unique equilibrium in the market where some trade is accomplished by decentralized matching between individual selling agents and consumers while others by setting prices through a business firm.Meanwhile,there exists critical level on which the modes can be transformed to each other.Individual selling agents play an important role in the growing of industrial clusters.They explore markets and accelerate development of industrial clusters.Thus the developing regions in China where resources are insufficient may develop individual selling agents to create the economic development miracle.
