多哈回合谈判全面中止的政治经济学分析

A Political Economic Analysis on the Complete Suspension of the Doha Round

The WTO Doha Round of global free trade talks lasting for nearly five years was suspended in July, 2006. The most important influence of the complete suspension of the Doha Round is to beat people's confidence on the multilateral trade system and initiate a new round of regional and bilateral trade liberalization negotiations, thus intensify the trade protectionism. According to the historical experience, the suspension of the Doha Round is likely to be temporary, and the new round global trade talks will resume and finally be finished through the great efforts made by the developed and developing WTO members.
