Construction supervision for hydroelectric projects and international practice concerned

Since Lubuge diversion works in 1983,international tendering has been pursued in hydro- electric project construction in China;and in the course of implementation of program contracts,accord ing to the international practice concerned,the execution of contracts are supervised by engineers.At present,a set of organizational work sequences and management mode systems has been formed up,but there still remain many aspects to be improved,upgraded and brought into agreement with international practice and perfecting the hydroelectric construction stuategy of our country.in this paper,based on learning the international practice,studies are carried out on problems presently existing in the construe- tion supervision of hydroelectric projects.Generally,the author considers that it is of obvious superiority that construction supervision of a project will be carried out by the same design organization of this pro ject.
