It is demonstrated by the world history that the history of world economic center transition is also the history of international shipping center transition;and shipping is the link between global production and global market.With the development of export-oriented economy of China,China takes part in the economic globalization of the world,the competition of goods of the world and the allocation of the resource of the world.And thus leads to the development of the international shipping.Because of the priority of the geographical location and hinterland economy,the building of Shanghai international shipping center is of great strategic value for China to carry on the industrial transition of the advanced countries,to take part in the global resources distribution,adapt to the economic globalization,improve the industrial level,improve the position in international shipping industry and strengthen the construction of national sea power.
