Analysis on FinancialAccelerator Theory and Its Research Progress

Financial accelerator theory means that as the financial market itself is imperfect, the slight fluctuation in the credit market is likely to cause huge impact to the macro economy. This paper first discusses the concept of finan- cial accelerator and its functional mechanism. Then it conducts an application review on the literature of financial accel- erator theory both at home and abroad. Finally, this paper points out the enlightenment of this theory for China＇ s eco- nomic development.
