Collaboration or Conflict? Strike Activity in Northern Ireland*

On the basis of strike statistics it has been argued that Northern Ireland has a more harmonious industrial relations climate than Great Britain. Here the author compares its strike pattern with that of the UK as a whole and explains why Northern Ireland should be seen as a relatively strike prone region.
