主位推进及其对大学生英语语篇能力提高的意义

主位述位及主位推进概念是系统功能语言学对句子和篇章分析的新视角。对句子进行主位述位划分对于句子中不同成分在言语交际中发挥不同作用具有重要意义;而对篇章从主位推进的角度进行功能分析,有助于加深对语篇的理解和认识。本文以《新视野大学英语》中的部分文章为分析对象,从主位推进与语篇体裁和语篇连贯等方面探讨了主位推进的方式与信息分布规律对于语篇教学及学生语篇意识的培养的重要意义。

Thematic Progression and Its Significance of Improving College Students" English Discourse Abilities

Theme, rheme and the concept of thematic progression is a new perspective of analyzing sentence and discourse in systemic functional linguistics. Dividing theme and theme to sentence has important meaning for analyzing that different components of the sentence play a different role in verbal communication, meanwhile, functional analysis from angle of thematic progression to writings is contribute to deepen our understanding and knowledge of discourse. In this paper, parts of the article of ＂New Horizon College English＂ are analyzed. The paper discusses the important meaning which the way and informa;tional distribution rule is to train discourse teaching and students＂ discourse awareness from some aspects of thematic progression, discourse genre and the discourse coherence.
