全国硕士研究生入学考试英语试题(NETEM)Vocabulary部分的词级分析

全国硕士研究生入学考试英语试题(NETEM)第一部分的Vocabulary,自1998年以来,试题难度逐年提高。1998年试题中,Vocabulary部分单词的词级明显高于1997年试题,而1999年试题的难度又有了较大的提高。但由于1999年试题中词汇难度提高过大,导致了该年考生英语成绩普遍下降,所以2000年试卷中,这一部分词汇的难度又作了相应的调整。预计今后这部分的难度还会有所提高,但不会超出《全国硕士研究生入学考试英语考试大纲(非英语专业)》对词汇测试的范围、词汇量、词汇掌握的熟练程度以及运用词汇的能力方面的规定和要求。

An Analysis of the Level of Words in Vocabulary Section in National Entrance Test of English for MA/MS Candidates (NETEM)

The purpose of Section C Vocabulary, Part I in National Entrance Test of English for MA/MS Candidates (NETEM) is to test the mastering of English vocabulary by the testees. The designers of the test paper have purposely raised the degree of difficulty of this section since 1998. In this essay, the author analyses the level of the words tested in this section in the test papers of 1997-2000, pointing out that the level of the words in 1998-paper was obviously higher than that in 1997-paper, and it was further raised in 1999-paper. But as the degree of difficulty of the words tested was raised too rapidly, the results of the testees in that year dropped universally, thus, the degree of difficulty of the words tested in Section C in 2000-paper being relatively readjusted. The author also introduces the range, the number of the words to be tested, as well as the proficient mastering of English words and the capacity of using these words set and required in "The Examination Syllabus for National Entrance Test of English for MA/MS Candidates (Non-English Majors)",,
