Interpreting the Demands for Chinese-Style Cuisine in International Business Travel Activities

Food safety is the most basic demand of international business travelers. As there are still many food safety problems in Chi- nese-style cuisine now, foreign travelers usually have strong psychological needs for food safety when eating in China. To meet this de- mand, Chinese catering enterprises should select reliable food origin, ensure the hygiene of the restaurant environment, cutlery, food pro- cessing and improve employee quality. They should also understand the social needs of foreign customers and respect international eti- quette and customs while offering services. Meanwhile, they should provide a comfortable dining environment and food with attractive im- ages to meet the aesthetic needs of the customers, so as to enable them to enjoy the meals in Chinese restaurants. That is how these restau- rants can attract and keep customers and become more competitive.
