Professor Dongfan proceeded from China's actual needs, strengthened the strategic research of macro economic development, and has made scientific research achievement in establishing an international economic cooperation belt along the western border of China. Professor Dong has tried to seek originality in applying his theory in practice. He has shown his own academic quality in social science research for policy making of the CCP government. In terms of development in the future, further research is necessary in the project of establishing an international economic cooperation belt along the western border of China.
