图式理论在翻译教学中的运用

摘    要:图式理论在翻译教学中的作用主要表现在对翻译教学内容设计和学生翻译问题分析的指导。通过对在校大学生翻译能力的考察,发现大多数学生在翻译理解阶段主要依靠逐词解码的单向信息加工,当句子整体意义大于部分意义的简单相加、源语意义隐含曲折时,学生译文的正确率低。有效运用图式有助于学生排除理解障碍,正确领会语篇意义。因此,翻译教学有必要引入图式理论的学习,以提高学生的图式运用意识和策略。

Abstract:This study attemps to show the introduction of Schemata Theory to translation classroom will promote the instruction of translation in that this theory can provide both the teachers and learners with insight into the factors that affect translation or lead to errors. We made a small experiment to study the students' ability to produce logical interpretation or complete the missing information in the text through activating their background knowledge. On the basis of the analysis of the results we conclude that most college students tend to rely on processing information word for word so much so that the rate of error is high when the active role of the reader is required to fill the information gap or to reason logically.
