“交行”联姻“汇丰”案例研究

20世纪30年代，汇丰银行曾经叱咤上海金融界。半个多世纪过去了，汇丰选择交通银行作为伙伴，在中国卷土重来。2004年8月6日，汇丰银行宣布以“香港上海汇丰银行”名义与交通银行签署入股协议。汇丰银行以每股1．86元入股，持有77．75亿股交行股份，占比19．9％。入股后汇丰将成为继财政部之后交行的第二大股东。这笔交易创下外资参股中资银行金额最高的纪录。

The marriage between Bank of Communications and HSBC

HSBC had already obtained a great deal of achievements in the Shanghai financial circles in 1930's.More than half century has passed by,choosing Bank of Communications as its partner,HSBC reentered China's money market.On August 6,2004,by the name of Hong Kong and Shanghai HSBC,HSBC signed the buy stock agreement with Bank of Communications.HSBC bought the stock by each 1.86 Yuan and had 7.775 billion stocks of Bank of Communications.So the stocks grasped by HSBC accounted for 19.9% of the total stock of Bank of Communications.As a result,HSBC became the second major stockholder of Bank of Communications,next to the Ministry of Finance.The amount of this transaction was the highest record since foreign capital bank began to buy the stock of China's bank.
