The latest version of our annual report,Top 200 Chinese Foreign Trade Enterprises,has been released.The report reveals the competence of Chinese foreign trade firms and reflects the country’s efforts in updating its economic structure.The total value of China’s imports and exports rose to a record high in 2011.The country sold USD3.6 trillion of goods in the overseas markets,and the amount of the Chinese enterprises which had a record of overseas sales rose to 311,000.Among these,the top 200 Chinese foreign trade enterprises as a group propelled their total export value to USD 435.67 billion,a rise of 15.6%,which accounted for 22.9% in the total export value of the country.Their total import value rose at an annual rate of 28.7% to USD 630.59 billion,which represented 36.2% in the total import value of the country.The baseline of top 200 export enterprises rose to USD 800,000,000.The threshold of top 200 import enterprises rose to USD 1.03 billion.while the stateowned enterprises kept expanding their sales,the private firms grew rapidly.But the foreign-owned companies still led the way.The central and west regions took more places on the top 200 lists,while the east region strived to update the industrial structure.The overseas contract became a new boost to the country’s exports and the auto was a new drive for the imports.All these changes will influence the Chinese foreign trade as well as the traders.
