| 摘 要： | 语言是文化的载体，学习语言必须了解其所属的文化。对于母语为汉语的英语学习者来说，学习英语国家的文化，了解中西文化的差异尤为重要。本文结合教学实践，从课堂教学的角度，探讨英汉文化的差异及其在理工科大学英语教学中文化输入的重要性。本文结合教学实践，分析了理工科大学生英语课堂教学中的中西文化差异问题，并进行了个案分析。

| Abstract: | The inseparable relationship between culture and language definitely shows the increasing necessity of cultural education in English teaching. During the cross-cultural communication, if one is ignorant of the culture and customs of the other, he/she is surely unable to have a good understanding of the other and can't carry on the communication further. This paper has made a study of science and engineering students' knowledge of Western Culture. On the basis of the survey and practice, the thesis puts forward some suggestions of how to build the students' cultural awareness in College English teaching. |
