Mushrooms from waste

Abstract:In view of the current energy and food crisis and continued population growth, there is an urgent need for more advanced research in food production. Only through constant and creative research can a substantial breakthrough in the technology of food production be achieved, and a larger quantity and higher quality of food be provided. One research project which should be seriously considered is how the wastes from agriculture and industry can be used for producing food protein through the cultivation of mushrooms.
