英语国家二语教学对我国高校英语教学的启示

摘    要:美英加澳等英语国家的二语(英语作为第二外语)教学与我国高校的英语(英语作为外语)教学有着本质的不同。通过对英语国家二语教学的个性和共性特征进行分析,总结了其优势,同时对我国高校英语教学中存在的不足进行了剖析,指出在继续保持国内英语教学优势的同时,应借鉴国外二语教学的长处,建立一个类似二语教学环境,让学生在轻松愉快的交际环境中学习英语,从而最有效地实现英语教学的根本目标。

Abstract:ESL teaching in English-speaking countries such as US,UK,Canada and Australia essentially differs from EFL in Chinese universities.By analyzing the specific and general characteristics of ESL in English-speaking countries,summarizing its strengths and exploring the weaknesses of EFL in Chinese universities,this paper argues that,while the advantages of EFL teaching are to be retained,the strengths of ESL teaching should be drawn on to establish an atmosphere of quasi-ESL teaching for EFL learners,helping improve their English proficiency in a relaxed and pleasant way,and therefore to achieve the basic goal of EFL teaching.
