建国之后,我国慈善事业呈V型发展态势,从急剧消失至迅速复兴,由官办慈善向大众慈善转变,其地位日渐凸显。慈善事业之所以受到重视,有其深刻的社会背景。随着社会转型的加快,各种社会问题层出不穷,而发展慈善事业,有助于缓和社会矛盾,促进社会主义精神文明建设。福建慈善事业在全国处于领先地位,产生良好的社会效应,但仍需恰当处理好国家和社会的关系,并立足当今,以史为鉴,顺应国际化潮流,积极与国外慈善组织互动,以推动慈善事业发展,构建和谐社会。
