Department Stores Industry Faced with Challenges
Abstract:It is the season for companies to publish their annual reports again.An overview of the reports by the department stores industry reveals the dead zone in the development despite all the achievements:the brand homogenization has become a public secret in the industry.While the Joy City is troubled with the growing pains,Xinhua Department Store is harassed by the supply problem.The department stores are faced with challenges under new circumstances.The most important thing is:how can the stores break through the increasingly erce competition? Obviously,the department stores have used all kinds of tricks to drum up their business.Some are cooperating with international brands to build strong brand;some are focusing on fashion brands to attract the customers;some are seeking di erentiated advantages by way of theme management…But one thing is in common:they are trying their best to ght the way out.Who will remain as the survivors in the passage of time? Let’s wait and see.
