| 摘 要： | 霍桑不同时期的作品里有着各种性格和命运的女性,不同女性角色体现出霍桑对妇女问题的观点：早期的被完全置于父权制度下的女性是顺从的,到19世纪40年代时的女性善良、纯洁、宽容并受到家庭的尊重,19世纪中期后的女性走向独立自主。

| Abstract: | Females with varieties oi personahty and destiny are covered in Nathaniel Hawthorne＇s works at diiterent pe-riod, and the different female roles reflect his viewpoints on women issues： females are obedient completely controlled in pa-triarchal system in the early stages, kindhearted, pure and tolerant and respected in the family in the 1940s, and become in- dependent in the mid-19th century. |
