试论高职英语翻译教学的问题与策略

翻译能力是高职学生重要的英语技能之一,却容易在实际教学中被忽视。问题的根源在于高职英语翻译教学存在着很多不足：对翻译教学重视不够;学生的英语基础普遍较差;教学方法有待改进;课时少,学习周期短。本文在提出上述问题的基础上对相应的改进策略进行了初步探讨,主要包括：提倡教学方法多元化;帮助学生树立正确的翻译学习态度;注重传授文化背景知识;相应增加翻译教学课时。

The problems and strategies on translation teaching of higher vocational college English

Translation skill is one of the most important capabilities for students at higher vocational colleges.However,it is easily ignored in the teaching practice.The root course of the problem lies in： the inadequacy of the translation teaching;not attaching enough attention on the translation teaching;the weakness of the students’ English foundation;the necessities of the enhancing the teaching method;the lack of the teaching period.The thesis mainly focuses on the above-mentioned problems and puts forward the preliminary strategies which includes the diversification of teaching method,the correct attitude toward translation learning,the teaching of the cultural knowledge and the adding of the English teaching hours.
